House of the Week: Grecian Hotel

I'm gonna try to start a weekly entry called, "House of the Week." It'll just be a cool looking house I find somewhere, but hopefully it will help keep me more regular in my blogging. So, without further ado, here is the first house of the week: from apartment therapy, Details from a Grecian Hotel:

I love all the rustic wood and simple lines. Show me a loft and bare rafters, and I want to move in. I also really love the surprise detail of the colorful, patterned tile mixed in with the simpler ones.

Couch Inspiration

If I ever decide to take on reupholstering furniture, I want to remember that I can mix and match fabrics within the same piece and add nice little hand stitched details and button wherever I want. These couches are beautiful and really inspiring for me, and I hope for you, too! I found them over at ElleDeco.Blogspot.com.

More Numbers

These I found over at Elle Decoration and would be really easy collages to make. It'd be a great gift, too, especially if each number meant something to you and/or the recipient!

Wall Calendar

This is such a great idea for a calendar and easy graphic art. Again, found it over at apartmenttherapy.com.

The Selby

If you don't know about The Selby, please let me tell you about it. The Selby is a website devoted to photographs and interviews of artists and interesting people and their living spaces. It's updated about every week, sometimes more, and I just can't get enough. I guess it's the voyeur in me :) Anyway, the photographer goes into someone's home and just photographs everything--sometimes I can't believe how cool some of these places are! So many great ideas and inspirations! My favorite ones are the couples, because I like to see how the two personalities mix in the space.

Here is just a taste (click on the photo for the full post of the place):
